Ryan Tannehill has had a busy week.

The Dolphins quarterback took part in the team’s first training camp practice Friday and he celebrated his 28th birthday on Wednesday. If that’s not enough, Tannehill and his wife Lauren welcomed their first child, a baby boy, to the world on Sunday.

“Awesome,” Tannehill said Friday after practice. “It’s such a blessing to see the birth of your child and the love you feel immediately. You always hear about it when other people experience it but you don’t always get it until you experience it yourself. It’s a special moment, special time, a really exciting thing to be a dad.”

Tannehill is entering his fifth NFL season. He completed 61.9 percent of his passes for 4,208 yards, 24 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last season.
