Jim Turner clearly hasn’t learned his lesson.
Turner, the deposed Dolphins offensive line coach following the bullygate scandal, has been suspended without pay for two weeks at Texas A&M for “degrading comments towards women,” coach Kevin Sumlin said.
ESPN reported that the comments were included in a slideshow shown to about 700 attending A&M’s annual “Chalk Talk for Women.”
Scout.com obtained photos of the slides that included sexual overtones.
The presentation included a line that female Aggies fans were “putting down our dish towels and taking off our gloves” to support the team.
“There is absolutely no place in our program or in our university community for inappropriate conduct or degrading comments towards women,” Sumlin said.
Sumlin added that he was unaware of the contents of the presentation beforehand.
Turner was fired for fostering an atmosphere of harassment that led to the bullying scandal between Richie Incognito and Jonathan Martin in 2013. Investigator Ted Wells concluded that Turner made homophobic comments toward backup lineman Andrew McDonald.
