SEATTLE–The national anthem for today’s season opener between the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks will be one of the most scrutinized in the league, and it appears Arian Foster will be at the center of a controversy.

ESPN’s Bob Holtzman reported this afternoon that Foster intends to kneel during the anthem and raise a fist. Kansas City CB Marcus Peters raised his fist during the anthem before the Chiefs and Chargers kicked off.

Foster led a players-only meeting Friday after practice, and some players said the central message was to be united in whatever they chose. Holtzman reported that some teammates will join Foster, but the entire team will not be in unison.

The Seahawks are planning to stand with their entire team locking arms.
