DAVIE–Because of the short week, the Dolphins are holding a relatively light practice today. No players were in helmets or pads, many wearing hats, which made it possible for pretty much anyone to participate.

That said, it doesn’t mean much that some of the injured players were working during the portion open to the media. Here are some notes from this afternoon’s practice:

— New quarterback T.J. Yates was here taking reps, as was Matt Moore and practice squad man Brandon Doughty. Offensive coordinator Clyde Christensen said the team hasn’t decided who will back up Moore against the Jets.

— Ryan Tannehill did not attend practice, but has been doing rehab work in the building.

— Linebackers Kiko Alonso (hamstring) and Jelani Jenkins (knee) were active with their position group.

— Wide receiver DeVante Parker (back) was full-go.

— Defensive end Dion Jordan returned to the sideline for his rehabilitation work. He had been practicing with the defensive line, but the deadline to move him from the Non-Football Injury list to the active roster passed Tuesday with no movement. He is not permitted to practice or play the rest of the season.
