ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.–The Dolphins will go without No. 1 cornerback Byron Maxwell this afternoon, leaving Xavien Howard and Tony Lippett in charge of containing Buffalo’s receivers.

Maxwell is out because of an ankle injury he suffered last weekend. Here are Miami’s inactives:

QB Ryan Tannehill (knee)
TE Thomas Duarte
WR Leonte Carroo
TE Dominique Jones
LB Jelani Jenkins
CB Byron Maxwell (ankle)
CB Jordan Lucas

Here are a few notes on who the Dolphins have today:

— Former University of Miami receiver Rashawn Scott is active for the first time. This could be his NFL debut.

— Matt Moore will continue to start at quarterback with recently signed T.J. Yates as the backup.

— Kraig Urbik will start at center again in place of Anthony Steen. This is the second straight week.

— Neville Hewitt starts in Jenkins’ spot.
