DAVIE–The playoffs will be a new experience for most of the Dolphins‘ roster, but a few of them have been there before.
Miami has three Super Bowl champions in the locker room. Cornerback Byron Maxwell won XLVIII with Seattle’s Legion of Boom, Jermon Bushrod was on the Saints team that beat the Colts at Hard Rock Stadium for XLIV and Spencer Paysinger helped take XLVI.
The only other guys with more than two games of postseason experience are defensive tackle Earl Mitchell (four) and safety Isa Abdul-Quddus (three).
Branden Albert, Jason Jones, Kenny Stills, Ndamukong Suh and T.J. Yates have each played two playoff games. Yates, the Dolphins’ backup now that Ryan Tannehill is out, started twice for the Texans in 2012. He completed 28 of 55 passes for 343 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions.
Long snapper John Denney is the only Dolphins player who was part of their 2008 playoff team that lost at Baltimore.
