DAVIE—It’s possible no player in the Dolphins’ locker room is as animated and excitable as Damien Williams, and he was a little more charged up than usual this afternoon.

For starters, he’s the perfect guy to ask about one of the more popular topics in the building this week: Miami is a 10-point underdog at Pittsburgh on Sunday and nobody is giving this team a chance at the Super Bowl.

“We’re here,” Williams rebutted. “I feel like we didn’t get a chance or a shot all year, but we’re here. So open your eyes.”

Beyond that, this guy is beyond ready for his first playoff game after three years with the Dolphins. Williams starts bouncing around and dancing during warmups at practice most days, so imagine what he’ll be like Sunday.

“It’s a good feeling knowing that you’re one of the teams in the playoffs and everybody else had to pack it up,” he said. He continued with, “I’m like this every day all day. I’ve been like this since camp. This is who I am. And on game day it goes up a little bit. It goes up from here. Just see me on game day. You’ll see.”

He’ll be even more hyped as he encounters the crowd.

Pittsburgh is one of the most rabid football cities in the league, and Heinz Field is certain to be a hostile environment for the Dolphins. That sounds perfect to Williams.

“Oh yes, I love it,” he said. “It’s part of the game. It can either help you or defeat you. I love stuff like that. It’s a football feeling. You can’t be anything without the fans. You can’t.”
