Jones’ 2016 season ended in Week 6 with a torn rotator cuff, but his rehabilitation has been going well and he had no hesitation vowing he’ll be ready for training camp this summer.
“I think I’m pretty much where I need to be,” he said tonight. “I’ve just got to keep working.”
He also added that he’ll participate in the offseason training program.
Jones is a critical piece for Miami, especially with free safety Isa Abdul-Quddus headed out with a possible career-ending neck injury. He made the Pro Bowl in 2015 and was trending toward a repeat appearance with 51 tackles and four passes defensed in the first six games of last season.
