Avery Young, an offensive tackle from Palm Beach Gardens High and Auburn, signed a free-agent contract with the Dolphins on Wednesday.
Young, 24, was an undrafted college free agent who signed with New Orleans last season but spent the year on the reserve/non-football injury list. He’s 6-feet-6 and 305 pounds.
Young started 36 games for Auburn as a left guard, right guard and right tackle. As a senior in 2015, he was third-team All-SEC.
The Dolphins also parted with cornerback Daniel Davie via non-football injury waivers. He signed Jan. 10.
