The Miami Dolphins were the only NFL team to oppose the Oakland Raiders move to Las Vegas, according to reports.
Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was the only owner to oppose the move which passed with a 31-1 vote, according to ESPN and Bleacher Report.
“My position today,” Ross told reporters, “was that we as owners and as a League owe it to the fans to do everything we can to stay in the communities that have supported us until all options have been exhausted.”
But regardless of Ross’ concerns, the Las Vegas Raiders are happening. And Ross understood the move, and he offered his best wishes to the owner and franchise.
“I want to wish Mark Davis and the Raiders organization the best in Las Vegas.”
Earlier in the day, former Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall expressed some concerns about young players beginning their NFL careers in Sin City.
The move will happen despite the fact that gambling, including gambling on NFL games, is legal in Las Vegas.
