Maybe, if you played in the NFL, you wouldn’t think Detroit Lions guard T.J. Lang has an odd way of complimenting people.
Lang says Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is a “literal psychopath” and a “nutjob” but insists that’s how linemen compliment one another in this league.
Lang knows Suh well from their divisional battles when Suh was a member of the Lions and Lang played for the Green Bay Packers. Lang made the comments during a satirical podcast from his home.
“I hated it,” Lang said of playing against Suh. “I’ve never played against a more literal psychopath in my life. Guy was a nutjob.”
The podcast includes mentions of Suh stomping on Evan Dietrich-Smith during a Thanksgiving Day game and the time Suh stepped on Aaron Rodgers’ leg.
Lang sent out a tweet that “I would take this as a compliment if someone said that about me as a player.”
Thankfully from the Dolphins’ perspective, Suh has largely avoided controversy since arriving in South Florida.
Still to be sorted out is the part about Suh being called a “literal psychopath.”
Namely, is that a step above or below being your run-of-the-mill psychopath?
