DAVIE — Here is some of what Dolphins coach Adam Gase said after practice:

• DeVante Parker was given a really good plan by wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson in the offseason. A lot of people have helped point Parker in the right direction. Parker has stuck with the plan. We see a different guy out there in terms of consistency.

• The Chicago Bears considered drafting DeVante Parker when Gase was there. Former ‘Canes assistant Clint Hurtt helped Gase have an understanding of how Parker operates.

• Gase sees the path of Parker possibly headed in the path of a receiver he coached in Denver, Demaryius Thomas. Parker is now going out there with a purpose.

• Gase has no reports of bee bites at practice. There was a swarm of bees in the corner of an end zone.

• Jakeem Grant has made some huge strides throughout the spring as a receiver. He’s done a good job getting into the playbook. He’s eliminating some mistakes.

• Isaiah Ford is just fighting to get better.

• Gase admits the Dolphins made a mistake in not playing Cam Wake more often early in last season. They were just wrong. Expect a different approach this year.
