DAVIE–All remaining loose ends have been dealt with, and quarterback Jay Cutler is officially a Miami Dolphin.
Cutler arrived this morning, passed his physical and signed, clearing him to begin practicing as Ryan Tannehill’s replacement.
Here are some of Cutler’s thoughts from his introductory press conference:
— He wasn’t particularly interested in an NFL return, but this was a rare opportunity to reunite with Adam Gase. “This was the top of the list,” he said.
— He likes the Dolphins’ roster, calling it a great blend of young talent and proven veterans.
— Cutler said it was a hard decision to give up retirement. “I felt pretty good about my life,” he said. “I was content.”
— Gase recruited hard, but gave Cutler his space to make the decision.
— Cutler says his shoulder is all good after having labrum surgery.
