OXNARD, Calif. — Dolphins coach Adam Gase also held a conference call with California reporters Wednesday afternoon.
Here’s what he had to say:
- Gase says he loves the fight in Chargers QB Philip Rivers. He always plays 60 minutes. Games vs. him usually come down to the end.
- On Jay Cutler’s familiarity with skill people around him: “He’s spent so much time with those guys since he got here. His family stayed in Nashville so I think he’s bugging them more than the other way around. He’s got nothing else to do.”
- Gase on why he feels good about his team despite the logistical situation: Says he feels good about leadership by veterans, how resilient team is (“We’ve battled a few things, nothing necessarily like this. It’s a different obstacle we’re going through.”)
- Gase says he’s not worried about playing in front of a crowd of about 30,000 Sunday.
