DAVIE – It appears more likely that the J-Train will make its scheduled stop in London.

After missing Wednesday’s practice with a knee problem, running back Jay Ajayi was back at work Thursday in the portion of practice open to the media and just before the Dolphins took off for London and Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints at Wembley Stadium.

The Dolphins will release an injury report later Thursday revealing whether Ajayi was limited or made it through the full practice.

After rushing for 122 yards in the opener against the Chargers, Ajayi was held to 11 carries for 16 yards vs. the Jets.

The Dolphins planned to head to the airport shortly after Thursday’s practice. Coaches hoped players would sleep on much of the flight over, with the plan being they’d check into their hotel Friday morning, then get in a workout near London.

In other news:

  • DT Jordan Phillips (ankle), held out of Wednesday’s practice, was working.
  • Other notables working included WR Kenny Stills, who has a hand injury, and LB Kiko Alonso (shoulder). Both were limited Wednesday.
  • LB Rey Maualuga, who has yet to make his Dolphins debut, worked again Thursday.
