MIAMI GARDENS — Jay Cutler was knocked out of the Miami Dolphins game early in the third quarter on Sunday.
Cutler was thrown hard to the turf by New York Jets linebacker Jordan Jenkins and landed on his left shoulder.
It was announced by the team that Cutler had a chest injury and was questionable to return.
A trainer was seem reaching up under the front of Cutler’s jersey on the sideline, before the quarterback left the field.
Cutler couldn’t throw a football on the sideline without pain, according to a Fox sideline report.
When Cutler left, he had completed 12 of 17 passes for 138 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception.
Cutler tossed touchdowns to Jarvis Landry and Anthony Fasano.
Cutler was intercepted by Mo Wilkerson after Jets safety Jamal Adams blitzed him down near Miami’s goal line near the end of the first half.
Some fans cheered when backup Matt Moore entered the game.
