DAVIE — Miami Dolphins cornerback Cordrea Tankersley (shoulder/ankle) is not expected to practice on Friday, making it at least a bit more unlikely that he would start against the New England Patriots on Monday night.
Veteran reserve Alterraun Verner played well in relief of Tankersley last Sunday against New England. Dolphins defensive coordinator Matt Burke said the team won’t put Tankersley in a position to fail if he’s not healthy enough to play well.
Running back Damien Williams (shoulder), safety Michael Thomas (knee), quarterback Matt Moore (foot) and guard Jermon Bushrod (foot) were also all not expected to practice.
Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (knee) and defensive end Cameron Wake (rest) are slated to return to practice on Friday.
