DAVIE–The Dolphins are riding high after pulling off one of the biggest upsets of the NFL season with a Monday night win over New England.

As they move forward on a short week for the upcoming visit to Buffalo, here are coach Adam Gase’s updates:

–For starters, it was an enormous win for the Dolphins to finally get one against the Patriots. “It means a lot to the players,” Gase said. “That’s a tough team to play.”

–As for Gase, he’s not exactly celebrating. “If you lose next week, nobody gives a (expletive),” he said.

–Miami likes the look it’s gotten from Kenyan Drake as the primary running back. “That’s why we drafted him,” Gase said. He has 48 carries for 234 yards and a touchdown over the last two weeks.

–Jakeem Grant will continue to get snaps at running back, which is something Gase has been toying with for a while.

–The Denver game, even with it being a struggling opponent, provided a big boost for the Dolphins last week as they prepared for New England. “When we went through practice last week, there was a different way about them,” Gase said. “There was no change in effort or executing, but guys were walking around differently.”

–Jordan Phillips and Kenyan Drake were both injured in the game but came back. Neither appears to be a concern going into the Buffalo game. Gase said Phillips “seemed OK last night,” but they’re waiting to see how he recovers.
