DAVIE—You’d think there would be a corporate sponsor attached to this, or maybe some kind of publicity angle. There isn’t. Dolphins wide receiver Kenny Stills has been giving away Christmas gifts simply out of generosity.

Stills was feeling the holiday spirit and selected 10 gifts for fans who retweet his “10 Days of Stillsmas” tweets. Stills draws one retweeter per gift and sends it to them.

“It’s the holiday season, and I’m just trying to spread some joy,” he said.

That’s really it. That’s the entire reason. No one pushed Stills into this, it’s not cobranded and there’s really nothing in it for him. This is not a public relations campaign by the Dolphins.

So far, Stills has given away the following:

-two pairs of movie tickets at the new luxury theatre, CMX Cinema, in Brickell
-game-worn cleats (autographed) & gloves
-concert tickets for H.E.R.
-a limited edition New Era Dolphins hat he designed that was never sold publicly
-Beats headphones
-two $250 gift cards for LRG Clothing
-a PlayStation 4
-a game-worn jersey (personalized autograph for the winner)
-Amazon Echo

The final gift will be given Saturday, the day before Miami visits the Chiefs. Stills personally selected and paid for all the gifts.

“I just wanted to do something special for the holidays,” he said. “It just sparked in my brain that I wanted to do a giveaway. I wear No. 10, so I can do 10 days of giveaways. They’re just things I like or things I think are cool.”

Stills did not reveal what the final gift will be, but if it’s better than a PlayStation 4, it’s bound to be pretty impressive.
